So I tried playing this today. It's primarily multiplayer, but it has a single-player mode where your teammates are computer controlled.

    It's pretty exciting.

    Also, FEET AND LEGS!!!

I would love it if someone wanted to play with me. Someone who can whisper softly in my ear and tell me everything's going to be OK.

    I don't even remember when I got both Left 4 Dead & Left 4 Dead 2. I don't recall buying them.

Maybe it was part of a bundle.

L4D is pretty cool in single-player mode. You can use voice macros on the bots and they'll acknowledge and respond to you. They'll even heal and revive you.

    It's like I actually have friends. :)

Left 4 Dead 2 is some strong bullshit. I can't see my legs.

    Who will get this game?
    Who will stand tall?
    Who will be my lover?

Turtle Rock Studios has released a cut L4D campaign - The Dam

    http://www.augerresources.com/l4d/damit.html

TRS's last Left4Dead campaign that was never finished, along with a couple survival maps that never shipped. Dam It stitches Dead Air and Blood Harvest together.

Releasing as an add-on means that our code changes are not included. Missing code means that the following features are not working:
    • Fire, smoke and explosions do not trigger panic events in the hangars.
    • Zombies do not crawl all the time in the orchard.
    • Farm house mob does not spawn in the far side of the woods.
    • Covered bridge does not collapse with explosions.
    • Burned forest area is missing wandering fires.
    • The burning forest section has a burn trigger that stays on too long. If you move quickly you'll take burn damage.
The dam spawn room is missing health kits and weapons.

The elevator models have an offset origin in the dam. Players can still get on and use them, but they are invisible and wall collision is missing.

I tried playing L4D but it's too scary for me. Just like bioshock.

I agree, Bioshock is scary, at least the first two. Ultimate is more cartoony, still a blast though.

Get over your fear! Great thing about Source Engine is that even a potato from 1999 can run it efficiently :D
