Still uses the Windows 7 installer, minus the addition of purple.

They're still really pushing you to create a Microsoft account. Luckily you can still just create a local account.

Overall I'm not impressed with Windows 10. I know it's still a tech preview, but they're allegedly shipping it this year. I don't feel it will be able to improve enough.

That, at the abundance of social, sharing, and web features is nauseating.

I think I'm going to make an honest effort to move to Linux on the Desktop. I've always enjoyed it so much on my Netbook, now that Valve has made leaps and bounds in making Linux a viable gaming platform too, I can't use that as an excuse.

I'm thinking of doing the same. I'm going to stick with Win 7 until my next PC purchase and then Move to linux.

I have a problem though most of My Web development tools are windows based.

You can always use a Windows VM or check out PlayOnLinux.

    It's a possibility.

    I might actually do that.

Yeah, codeweavers is neat. They contributed a lot of the base code of WINE back in the day.

I honestly will not move my main PC to W10. Too much silly crap. Default key logging, "search everywhere", candy crush, Xbox integration, etc.

So many new AAA games supporting Linux and valve reports even better performance. DX12 is nice, but not worth the aggravation of everything else.

At the very most I'll dual-boot.

Windows 10 uses 7 different menu styles. There is zero consistency. If you add 3rd party browsers like Chrome or Firefox, you can add 8 or 9 different menus.

Well, HP is in bed with them. I keep getting "the opportunity" of getting windows 10 for "free" . . . nothing is free, but then again, I am old enough to know better.

All Windows 7 & 8 installations give the pop-up to reserve your upgrade.
