New and shiny, this is the 2017 Edition of the Build a PC and Guts thread. Ask advice about building a new PC or upgrading your current PC and show off your computer internals. Stay in the know and learn new things. Join the fastest growing enthusiast community and quickly drain your bank funds faster than a nigerian prince.

It is always advisable to build your own PC instead of buying one pre-built. Aside from being cheaper, you also get exactly what you want or need. However, not all pre-builts are not the same. There are also various companies that will manufacture PCs using standard and popular parts instead of the proprietary and often difficult to replace like from Dell or HP. Two of these brands are CyberPowerPC and iBuyPower. Local non-franchise PC stores may also sell similar. Always get a second opinion, however.
